Arkia Expands Flight Map: New Routes to Milan and Basel This Summer
The Israeli airline ‘Arkia’ continues to expand its international operations by adding two new European destinations this summer – Milan and Basel. This comes amidst ongoing flight cancellations by foreign airlines to Israel, leaving the local market with fewer options.
Starting July 2025, Arkia will operate a regular route to Milan (MXP) three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Additionally, a new flight route to Basel (BSL) will be launched, operating once a week on Wednesdays.
According to Arkia’s announcement, ticket prices will start at $249 one-way – a particularly attractive price for travelers seeking an affordable summer vacation in Europe. Arkia emphasizes that due to high demand, it is advisable to plan ahead and book tickets as soon as possible.
Arkia CEO, Oz Berlovich, stated:
“Arkia is committed to continuing to connect Israel with the world, even in this challenging period. We are proud to add sought-after destinations and provide a reliable, high-quality, and Israeli alternative for the local audience.”
This current move continues Arkia’s recent trend of strengthening existing routes and adding new destinations while adapting to the needs of the Israeli public. The airline, currently considered one of the most active in Israel, also operates routes to New York, the Seychelles, Geneva, and more.
