The airline Arkia continues to expand its operations, announcing the revival of the direct route to Munich, Germany – a popular and sought-after destination among Israeli travelers. Starting from August 2025, Arkia will operate three weekly flights to Munich.
This move makes Munich a convenient and accessible entry point to natural and leisure sites in Europe, including the Black Forest, Lake Constance, the Bavarian Alps, and Bavaria’s enchanting castles such as Neuschwanstein and Hohenzollern.
An Israeli Alternative in Challenging Times
The announcement comes at a time when several international airlines, including Lufthansa, have yet to resume operations in Israel due to the security situation. Against this backdrop, Arkia continues to lead and offer diverse flight solutions to the Israeli public.
Arkia’s CEO, Oz Berlovich, stated:
“While Lufthansa and other foreign companies are still considering whether to return to Israel, Arkia is already here, flying, expanding its destination map, and operating for the Israeli public. We are preparing for a busy summer with a diverse flight schedule, but it’s important to understand that the supply is expected to be limited as most international companies have chosen not to resume operations in Israel.”
He further added:
“Demand is high, and that’s why we urge the Israeli public to prepare in advance and book their summer vacations to ensure a spot at affordable prices.”
