During the night, a wide-body Airbus A330 landed at Ben Gurion Airport. The aircraft has been leased for an extended period from the Portuguese company Hi Fly and is branded in Arkia colors. This aircraft joins the company’s fleet and will be used for long-haul flights to New York, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The new A330 features three seating classes: 251 seats in Economy and Economy Plus, and 18 seats in a luxurious Business Class. The Business Class is equipped with spacious seats that convert into two-meter-long beds, along with personal comfort kits, full VIP service, and a premium dining menu, significantly enhancing the comfort level on the company’s long-haul flights.
Each seat is equipped with a personal multimedia system and charging options, and an Israeli Arkia flight crew will operate the aircraft, ensuring the warm and familiar service experience is maintained on transatlantic flights.
This is the second wide-body aircraft in Arkia’s fleet, a move that strengthens the company’s operations on international routes and expands the range of destinations. The new aircraft is expected to allow the company to offer more direct and comfortable flights to distant destinations, with an emphasis on a high-level flight experience.
