“Preparing for a Gradual Return to Routine in the Coming Hours” – Stage 5 of the “Safe Return” Program Launches
Will we see more flights in the coming hours?
The Airports Authority has announced its readiness to enter the fifth stage of the “Safe Return” program. This move could mark the start of a faster-than-expected return to routine.
Officials are conducting ongoing assessments with all relevant parties. This follows a directive from Minister of Transport and Road Safety Miri Regev. The parties mainly include the Civil Aviation Authority and the security system. The goal is to enable a gradual resumption of airport operations, potentially within the coming hours.
✈️ The Airports Authority is working closely with all airlines and airport entities. Together, they aim to ensure a safe, coordinated, and orderly return for all passengers.
However, officials say there is currently no change to flight schedules. This applies to both Ben Gurion Airport and Haifa Airport. They note that an update will follow once an official decision is made.
⏳ The public is invited to await updates expected very soon. These may allow a significant return to routine in the coming hours. In addition, Arkia announced new rescue flights to major European destinations. These include Milan, Larnaca, Athens, and Vienna, with further updates to follow.
