Ryanair CEO Israel Flights: “We’re Losing Patience”
Ryanair CEO Israel flights are in the spotlight after Michael O’Leary, chief executive of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair, made an exceptional statement today (Monday) regarding Israel, warning that the company is “losing patience” due to security disruptions at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. These remarks were made during a conversation with analysts following the release of the company’s annual reports.
“I think we are also running out of patience regarding Israel… flights to and from Tel Aviv,” O’Leary stated. “If these security disruptions continue, then frankly, it would be better to relocate these aircraft to other destinations in Europe.”
O’Leary’s comments come against the backdrop of the company’s suspension of routes to Tel Aviv, which is currently on hold until the beginning of June. According to him, if the security situation in Israel does not stabilize, the company may choose to cease operations to Israel entirely and allocate the aircraft to more profitable destinations on the continent.
Ryanair is one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, and its flights to Israel are highly popular among Israeli travelers seeking affordable vacations in Europe. The CEO’s unusual announcement could indicate a potential policy shift and impact tourism to and from Israel, especially in the upcoming summer season.
