After a period of suspension, the American airline Delta Air Lines resumed its direct flight route this morning (2/9/2025) between New York’s JFK Airport and Ben Gurion Airport. The first aircraft landed in Israel shortly after 12:40 PM, with a slight delay from the scheduled time.
The flights are operated using the state-of-the-art flagship aircraft model Airbus A330-900neo, equipped with four different service classes: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and the standard Main Cabin. This offers a comfortable, advanced, and diverse flying experience for all types of passengers.
Safety as a Top Priority
Delta emphasizes that they continuously monitor security developments in Israel and act according to official recommendations. According to them, the decision to resume operations was made after a comprehensive and thorough assessment, aiming to ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew members.
Collaboration with European Airlines
Tickets are also available for purchase through Delta’s partners in the SkyTeam alliance, including Dutch KLM and French Air France, offering great flexibility for passengers seeking connecting flights to Europe and other destinations. Special prices can also be booked on the flight hunting website.
Gradual Return to Routine
It should be noted that Delta attempted to resume regular operations in Israel last May, but due to the security escalation in June, flights were suspended again. Now, with the situation stabilizing and the necessary checks completed, the company is reinstating the route to full operation and will operate seven weekly flights between Tel Aviv and New York.
