El Al Offers a Special Promotion for Reservists
El Al announced a special Hanukkah promotion for reservists who have served active duty since October 7, 2023. As part of the promotion, El Al is granting 100 frequent flyer club points for each day of reserve duty, which can be used to purchase flight tickets.
Who Is Eligible for the Benefit?
Reservists are eligible for the points benefit if they:
- Are members of El Al’s frequent flyer club or new members joining the club.
- Have completed a cumulative total of 100 or more days of active reserve duty since October 7, 2023.
Important note: the benefit is not valid for reservists who received a flight ticket as part of the “Gift flight ticket for IDF soldiers” benefit from February 2024.
How does it work?
- Before registering, prepare your identifying details and attach a copy of the relevant certificate/form in advance: an official reserve service form (3010) (sample form) and/or an official active reserve service form (sample form). Only standard forms will be reviewed. Have your club membership number ready. If you don’t have your club membership number, you can recover it at this link. If you’re not a club member, you can join for free at this link. Your full name in English, spelled exactly as in your passport.
- Register for the club points benefit from December 29, 2024 using the relevant link in the table below, according to the number of reserve days. Only applications submitted to the relevant link according to the reserve-day tier as detailed in the table below will be reviewed.
- After filling out the form, a confirmation message will be sent to the email address you provided and your eligibility for the benefit will be checked.
- Within 5 working days of submitting the form, you’ll receive another email confirming or denying your eligibility. If you’re found eligible, a detailed email confirming eligibility will be sent to you. If you’re not found eligible, the reason will be detailed in the email. After receiving an email confirming eligibility, you can redeem the points benefit on the El Al website.
- The club points benefit will be granted only once to each eligible reservist, except for reserve soldiers who received a coupon code to book a gift flight ticket as part of the “Gift flight ticket for IDF soldiers” benefit from February 2024.
