Following unverified reports in recent days on social media and various websites regarding the potential resumption of Emirates’ regular flights between Tel Aviv and Dubai, the airline has issued an official clarification dispelling these false rumors: There is no date for resumption, and no concrete plan to reopen the route.
The Official Statement from Emirates
A spokesperson for Emirates stated:
“Emirates can confirm that services to/from Tel Aviv remain suspended, and there are no firm plans to restart operations. Customers can fly on our codeshare partner flydubai, where they can connect onwards with Emirates to our network of 150 cities.”
Translation to Hebrew:
Emirates confirms that services to/from TLV remain suspended, and there are no firm plans to resume operations. Customers can fly with our codeshare partner, flydubai, from where they can continue with Emirates to our network of 150 cities.
How Can You Still Fly with Emirates?
Despite the suspension, Emirates offers an alternative solution: a connection flight with Flydubai, which continues to operate direct flights between Tel Aviv and Dubai. From Dubai Airport, passengers can continue with Emirates on connecting flights to numerous destinations worldwide.
Background on the Flight Suspension
Emirates ceased its operations to Israel in October 2023 with the outbreak of war. Unlike other airlines that have resumed operations recently, Emirates is taking a conservative approach, preferring to wait for a reassessment of the situation in terms of safety and operations.
When Will We See Emirates at Ben Gurion Again?
The airline has not committed to a timeline and has not published any forecast for the route’s reopening. Industry sources estimate that operations will not resume until higher security assurances are obtained.
