Good News for Travelers: Outbound Flights from Israel to Resume Monday Under Strict Limitations
Starting this Monday, June 23, 2025, Israeli airlines will be permitted to operate outbound flights from Israel as part of the “Safe Return” initiative. This decision follows the approval of the plan by all relevant authorities, subject to stringent security and safety considerations.
Severe Passenger Limitations
At this stage, each flight can accommodate only up to 50 passengers, aiming to ensure maximum safety during takeoffs and landings. This is an additional step towards gradually and cautiously resuming air operations.
Return Tickets to Israel Not Immediately Available
Passengers choosing to leave Israel now can book a return ticket to Israel only for a date at least 30 days later. This measure allows passengers already abroad since the start of the initiative to return to Israel first via rescue flights.
Registration Open on Airline Websites
Israeli airlines have opened special registration for outbound flights on their websites. Registration is open to the general public without prior preference, but priority will be given to life-saving, humanitarian cases, and based on security and national considerations.
