Trump’s Visit to Israel: All Departures from Terminal 1 Will Be Moved to Terminal 3 – Changes and Information for Passengers

The Airports Authority announces expected changes in Ben Gurion Airport operations ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit on Monday, 13.10.2025

Ahead of the official visit of United States President Donald Trump at Ben Gurion Airport, the Airports Authority has announced a series of logistical and security changes affecting operations on the upcoming Monday. This is an exciting day that will include comprehensive security arrangements, road closures, and a significant increase in congestion around Ben Gurion Airport.

Flights from Terminal 1 Move to Terminal 3

As part of the preparations, all international flights scheduled to depart from Terminal 1 will be transferred to Terminal 3. This transfer will take effect starting at 08:00 AM on Monday and will continue until the end of the day (October 13). This is an important change for passengers on low-cost flights and airlines operating from Terminal 1, and it is important to follow airline updates.

Traffic Disruptions – Recommended to Arrive by Train

Security arrangements for the landing of the presidential aircraft and the visit of the American delegation will cause heavy traffic disruptions on the routes leading to Ben Gurion Airport. The disruptions are expected to last from 06:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Airports Authority strongly recommends passengers use Israel Railways and avoid arriving by private car or taxis. Israel Railways will operate an enhanced schedule throughout the day to ease congestion.

What Else Is Expected to Change?

  • Early Arrival: Passengers are requested to arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at least 4 hours before departure time.

  • Domestic Flight Changes: There may be changes and cancellations in flights to domestic destinations, especially on routes to Ramon and from Ramon.

  • Transportation Service Disruptions: The taxi and shuttle services will not operate between 6:00-14:00.

  • Possible Delays: The Airports Authority emphasizes that there may be flight delays due to security restrictions.

A Call to the Public: Patience on a Historic Day

The Airports Authority notes that this is a historic and exceptional day, and asks the public to understand the operational and security complexities. All relevant parties, including the Ministry of Transport led by Minister Miri Regev, are working to minimize the impact on passenger services.

The main recommendation for passengers: Follow the guidelines of the airlines, check the schedules on the Airports Authority website, and prepare for changes accordingly.
