Significant Upgrade to Flight Experience: Arkia has signed an agreement with the Portuguese company Hi Fly, under which it will lease a wide-body aircraft model Airbus A330-200, set to commence operations on October 15, 2025.
The aircraft will serve Arkia’s long-haul routes to highly popular destinations such as New York, Bangkok, and other destinations in Thailand, offering an enhanced flight experience with an advanced business class featuring 20 seats that convert into full beds.
A New Flight Experience Inside and Out
In addition to upgrading the service experience, the new aircraft will be externally branded in Arkia’s colors and will join the company’s fleet of wide-body aircraft. This strategic move illustrates Arkia’s intention to expand its presence in the long-haul flight market and provide passengers with a quality Israeli alternative at competitive prices.
Introducing Hi Fly
The company Hi Fly is one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in Europe, specializing in ACMI services (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance). The company has a fleet of 14 aircraft, including the Airbus A380 – the largest commercial aircraft in the world. Hi Fly’s experience provides Arkia with high operational flexibility and the possibility for rapid expansion.
