More Passengers, More Flights: Ramon Airport Awakens Ahead of Passover
The Israel Airports Authority has released forecasts for April at Ramon Airport – and the data is particularly encouraging: a 17% increase in passenger traffic is expected compared to last year’s Passover. According to estimates, approximately 70,000 passengers will pass through the airport on domestic flights, primarily on routes from Ben Gurion Airport and Haifa.
Direct Flights from Paris: A Thousand Tourists Headed to Eilat
In addition to domestic flights, international activity is also expanding: On the eve of Passover, a special airlift will land at Ramon – seven charter flights bringing about 1,000 French tourists on direct flights from Paris. The landings are scheduled for April 10 and 11, with the return occurring after the second holiday.
Significant Renewal of Charter Flights to Eilat
The flights from Paris represent a welcome renewal of activity that was halted several years ago – initially due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently due to security concerns. This year, the activity is resuming on a significant scale, reopening the door for Eilat’s return to the international tourism map.
Special Preparations for Passover at Ramon Airport
The Israel Airports Authority reports full preparations for the holiday season, in collaboration with concessionaires and professional entities at the airport. The goal: to provide every passenger – Israeli or tourist – with a pleasant, quick, and efficient service experience.

Minister of Transport and Road Safety, Miri Regev, commented on the increase in passenger traffic and the resumption of international activity at Ramon Airport:
“The State of Israel is reinforcing incoming tourism to Eilat – our southern city, which is an important tourist hub. We are using all available tools to encourage the return of tourists and strengthen the air routes to the city. I commend the Israel Airports Authority for the successful preparations and the significant renewal of international activity at Ramon.”
