If you’re planning or need to issue a new passport or renew an existing passport, it’s best to hurry. The discounted winter rate ends tomorrow, Friday (February 28) at midnight, which means that issuance and renewal costs will go up from next week. Families can save hundreds of shekels if they make the payment on time. You can pay the discounted winter fee and use it until the end of April 2025, subject to payment.
What are the prices now, and how much will you pay after the increase?
Those who issue or renew a passport by the end of the discounted rate period will pay:
🔹 Adults over 18 – NIS 175 when paying online (instead of NIS 280 in summer), and NIS 300 when issued at a bureau.
🔹 Children and minors under 18 – NIS 105 when paying online (instead of NIS 145 in summer).
🔹 In case of loss, theft or damage – for adults the price will be NIS 495 instead of NIS 600 in summer, and for children NIS 265 instead of NIS 305.
Special discounts
Soldiers and those serving in national-civil service are entitled to discounts similar to those of IDF soldiers, according to criteria set by the IDF and passed on to the Population and Immigration Authority.
