Good News for Southern Residents: Israir Launches a New Route from Ramon Airport to Athens

As planned, Israir began operating a new route this morning (Friday) between Ramon Airport and Athens, the capital of Greece. This is a significant move for residents of the south, who will enjoy a direct, convenient alternative for flights to Greece without having to fly via Ben Gurion.
In the first stage, the airline will operate two weekly flights in each direction, on Fridays and Mondays. Passengers departing from Ramon Airport will enjoy fast, efficient procedures, along with free parking opposite the terminal, a duty-free shop, a restaurant and cafés.

Opening the new route strengthens Ramon Airport’s position as a convenient departure point for residents of the south and provides another direct connection to one of Europe’s most popular destinations. We very much hope to soon see more routes and even more airlines opening routes from Ramon Airport.
