Missile Strikes Closed Hotel in Tel Aviv Undergoing Renovations – Significant Damage to City Center Structure
One of the sites hit during the missile attack last night was the “Lighthouse” Hotel, located at the lower part of a tower in central Tel Aviv. This is a well-known public building, which previously operated under the Brown Hotels chain and is currently owned by “Israel-Canada Hotels.”
The hotel, which includes approximately 220 guest rooms, had been closed recently for extensive renovations after being acquired by Israel-Canada. The purchase was made from the Brown Hotels chain as part of the company’s expansion in urban hospitality.
Last night, during the missile attack on the Dan region, the hotel suffered a direct hit that caused extensive damage to the structure. Company teams have arrived at the scene and are currently conducting an initial assessment to understand the extent of the damage to the building and the renovation plans that had already begun.
At this stage, there are no reports of casualties in the incident, as the hotel is currently not operational and does not house guests or staff. However, security officials express concern over the fact that a missile struck a civilian building in the heart of a populated area in Tel Aviv.
This incident adds to a series of attacks targeting the Israeli home front, causing damage to other civilian structures across the country.
