United Airlines Returns to Israel with Two Daily Flights from New York
The American airline United Airlines is making a significant comeback to Israel. After a prolonged hiatus, the company announced the resumption of direct flights between Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and Ben Gurion Airport, starting next Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Initially, United will operate just one daily flight, but already the following day, on June 6, the service will be enhanced with the addition of a second daily flight. This will restore the airline to a schedule of two daily flights on the highly demanded route between New York and Tel Aviv, marking a return to normalcy and meeting high demand.
The decision to renew the route was made after a thorough reassessment of the security situation, alongside coordination with labor unions and relevant authorities in the U.S. and Israel.
United’s return to regular operations in Israel is significant news for both Israeli and American travelers, providing an important alternative for transatlantic flights at a time when not all airlines have resumed international routes.
