3 Airlines Return to Ben Gurion This Week
Ben Gurion Airport is expected to be a little busier this week, with three important international airlines resuming flights. Today, Sunday, December 15, 2024, about 39,500 passengers will pass through Ben Gurion on international arriving and departing flights. Of these, about 21,500 passengers will leave Israel and about 18,000 will arrive.
Airlines Resuming Their Flights This Week
During the coming week, the following airlines will return to operating at Ben Gurion:
- Beez (Romania) – will resume operations on Monday, December 16.
- Air Europa (Spain) – will resume its flights on Wednesday, December 18.
- WizzAir (Hungary) – will resume operations on Friday, December 21, with flights to Larnaca in the first stage.
The return of these airlines is expected to increase the number of passengers passing through Ben Gurion and ease international passenger traffic, which has been hit recently.
Guidelines for Passengers and Israel Airports Authority Recommendations
The Israel Airports Authority recommends that passengers:
- Follow the updated flight board – this can be done on the Israel Airports Authority’s official website or with the airlines.
- Check in from home – to save time and reduce stress at Ben Gurion.
- Arrive three hours before the flight – especially during a period of crowding and frequent schedule changes.
- Check hand luggage carefully – make sure it contains no items prohibited on flights, such as weapons or ammunition.

The Israel Airports Authority notes that following decisions by some airlines to reduce or suspend flights to Israel, schedules may change. Passengers are advised to stay in direct contact with the airlines and follow any updates regarding their flights.
