Wizz Air Returns to Ben Gurion: Flights Resumed from Popular European Destinations
Following the suspension of flights due to a missile launched from Yemen towards Israel, the low-cost airline Wizz Air has today (May 15) resumed its operations at Ben Gurion Airport as planned.
This morning, the airline’s first two flights landed from Larnaca (Cyprus) and Sofia (Bulgaria), marking the official return of the company to operations in Israel.
Later in the day, additional flights arrived from sought-after European destinations:
Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw, and Vilnius.
The return of the airline is particularly positive news for Israeli travelers seeking affordable and accessible flights to European destinations, especially given that many airlines have yet to resume flights to Israel.
Flight bookings are open on the Wizz Air website and app, with competitive prices that can save each passenger hundreds of shekels.
