Important Update for Travelers in the Coming Days: Infrastructure Works Expected to Affect the Drive to Ben Gurion

Lane closure and traffic disruptions: From Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 23:00 until Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 05:00, the left lane at the interchange from the Ayalon Highway toward Ben Gurion Airport will be closed due to road rehabilitation works.

Full temporary closure on the first night of works: On the night between Sunday and Monday, February 16, 2025, between 23:00 and 23:30, the interchange will be completely closed to traffic from the Tel Aviv direction, and it won’t be possible to exit to Ben Gurion via this interchange.

Alternative access routes for travelers: Throughout the project, entry to the airport will be possible via alternative routes:

• Via Route 40, from the Lod interchange.
• For those coming from Route 1 from the east, the entrance will remain open as usual.
