Flying Again: Delta Airlines Resumes Route to Israel
Delta Airlines returns to Ben Gurion Airport: Following a suspension due to a missile launched from Yemen that landed in the airport area, the American company is resuming today (Tuesday, May 20) its daily and direct route from New York (JFK) to Israel.
Flights will be operated using the Airbus A330-900neo, a modern and advanced model, which is certainly good news for Delta’s regular passengers and those seeking direct flights to the USA during a period when supply is still limited.
The decision to renew the route was made after a reassessment of the situation by the company, against the backdrop of improved security stability. Delta notes that they will continue to closely monitor the situation and act according to developments.
For those holding tickets for canceled flights, changes can be made without penalty under Delta’s Travel Waiver policy, for flights scheduled until May 25, 2025.
