Condor Returns to Israel: Direct Flights from Frankfurt to Tel Aviv Starting May 2026
The German airline Condor announced today (Monday) the renewal of its direct route between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). The route will resume operations starting May 2026, as part of the airline’s 70th-anniversary celebrations.
Condor’s first historic flight took place in 1956 and was a pilgrimage flight from Germany to the Holy Land. Now, seven decades later, the company chooses to mark this festive year by renewing a significant route in its history.
Flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring ergonomic seats and a variety of paid services. The company will offer flexible fares, and flights are available for booking now—on Condor’s website, by phone, and through travel agents.
David Carlisle, Vice President of Network Planning and Partnerships at the company, stated:
“Tel Aviv is a unique destination that connects tradition and innovation. For us, it is a global city, economically strong and culturally vibrant, with profound significance for Condor. The new route will enhance connectivity to Europe and North America via Frankfurt, and it is a source of pride for us, especially in our 70th year of operation.”
Uwe Becker, the State of Hesse’s Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Fight Against Anti-Semitism, also welcomed the route’s opening:
“The connection between Israel and Germany is based on personal acquaintance. There is no substitute for meeting people. The new route contributes to cultural dialogue and strengthens mutual understanding—something particularly important in these complex times.”
