Israir Announces: Rescue Flights Open for Public Sale
The airline ‘Israir’ has announced that starting this evening (Thursday, June 19, 2025), ticket sales for rescue flights will be open to the general public, including passengers who are not current customers of the company. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to bring back Israelis currently abroad. Flights will depart for Israel starting Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from various destinations across Europe and the Caucasus: Larnaca, Athens, Batumi, Rome, and Budapest.
Tickets can be purchased on the company’s website and through authorized travel agents.
Israir emphasizes that the company is operating in full coordination with the Ministry of Transport, the Airports Authority, and security agencies. Israel’s airspace remains closed to incoming and outgoing flights, including domestic flights to and from Eilat. The reopening of the skies will be conducted in accordance with the security situation and directives received from the relevant authorities.
The company notes that the scope of flights is currently limited and is expected to change as circumstances allow, based on security assessments.
