Israir Announces Update on Baggage and Seat Prices: What You Need to Know

Following a similar announcement earlier this year, Israir has once again updated that starting from June 1, 2025, new baggage and seat prices will take effect on its flights. With this move, Israir aligns itself with the policy of low-cost airlines operating in Israel and worldwide. This significant update includes an increase in the prices of carry-ons, suitcases, and additional services, impacting many passengers.

Israir Baggage Prices – How Much Will It Cost to Add a Carry-On or Suitcase?

According to the company’s announcement, starting June 1, Israir’s baggage prices will be updated as follows:

  • Carry-On: $25 if booked in advance (instead of the current $20). Those choosing to add a carry-on at the airport will pay $30.

  • Regular Suitcase (up to 23 kg): $50 if booked in advance (instead of the current $45). At the airport – the price will jump to $95.

  • Additional Two Suitcases: Will cost $90 if booked in advance (instead of $75).

  • Additional Suitcases (third and fourth): The third suitcase will cost $90 in advance, and the fourth $120 per person. At the airport, prices for each additional suitcase will range between $110 and $140.

Passengers planning to fly soon are advised to book baggage in advance through the company’s website or service center to avoid higher payments at Ben Gurion Airport.

Seat Prices Are Also Being Updated

Alongside baggage prices, Israir is also updating the prices for purchasing seats in advance:

  • Seat at Emergency Exit or First Row: $55 (instead of $50).

  • Regular Seat: $18 (instead of $15).

This means that those wishing to select a preferred seat in advance will need to pay a slightly higher fee compared to current prices.

How Much Does a Suitcase Cost with Israir? Israir Aligns with the Market

Israir’s update joins a general trend in the aviation industry, where many companies are raising baggage prices due to operational costs and rising fuel prices. If you were wondering how much a suitcase costs in Israel today – it is worth knowing that prices vary between companies, but it seems that Israir maintains similar price levels to those of leading European low-cost airlines.

Israir updates its baggage and seat pricing effective from June 1, 2025. For those looking to save, it is recommended to book carry-ons, suitcases, and seats in advance rather than waiting until the last minute at the airport. This update aligns Israir with market trends and emphasizes the importance of early planning before any flight.
