Nature Photographer Miki Spitzer at a Special Photography Exhibition in Ottawa, Canada
After two intensive weeks of shooting in the frozen Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada, talented landscape photographer Miki Spitzer is presenting a special photography exhibition in Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
The exhibition, held in cooperation with the Jewish community at the OTC Ottawa Torah Centre, presents a spectacular mix of landscape images from the Land of Israel alongside breathtaking photos of Iceland’s magical scenery. The carefully chosen images express the uniqueness of each region and tell the story of nature in all its glory. In addition, Spitzer managed to convey in his photos a sense of tranquility alongside the power of the landscapes, making a visit to the exhibition a mesmerizing experience.
One of the highlights of the weekend was the Shabbat Kiddush, where Miki Spitzer was asked to share the fascinating stories behind the photos with the audience. Spitzer told participants about his experiences as a nature photographer, the challenges of shooting in extreme conditions such as bitter cold and snow in the Rockies, and the inspiration he draws from the spectacular landscapes of Israel and Iceland. He emphasized how each photo represents a personal emotional and physical journey that requires patience, passion and love of nature.
Visitors to the exhibition can admire the meticulous work invested in every frame – from the precise light, through the vivid colors, to the smallest details that tell a whole story in a single image. The exhibition is open to visitors at the OTC Jewish center and runs until Sunday evening.
