Wizz Air Announces New Destinations from Israel

The low-cost airline Wizz Air continues its expansion in Israel by adding two new routes to highly sought-after destinations in Europe. This announcement joins the company’s recent launches, solidifying its position as a dominant player in European routes, including those from Israel.

New Route to Venice – Finally Flying to the City of Canals

Starting December 1st, Wizz Air will operate a direct route from Israel to Venice, Italy. Flights will run twice a week, with prices expected to start at just 450 shekels one-way. This is exciting news for Israeli travelers, who will gain direct access to the popular Italian city without the need for costly and tiring layovers.

The new route complements the airline’s existing routes to other Italian cities—Rome, Milan, and Naples—enhancing Wizz Air’s Italian presence from Israel.

New Route to Thessaloniki – More Flights to Greece

Starting October 28th, Wizz Air will launch a new direct route to Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city, with three weekly flights. Prices? Starting at just 318 shekels one-way.

The new route will join the airline’s active routes from Israel to popular Greek destinations: Athens, Crete, and Rhodes.

Further Strengthening Wizz Air’s Presence in Israel

The two new routes indicate Wizz Air’s confidence in the Israeli market and its ongoing expansion trend. After a period of uncertainty in the aviation industry, the company continues to open routes, enhance offerings, and provide competitive pricing. Reports suggest Wizz Air’s interest in establishing a base in Israel—a move that could significantly transform the Israeli aviation sector.
