Bonus of Up to 15,000 ILS for Returning Security Employees at the Airports Authority

Massive Recruitment Ahead of Passover and Terminal 1 Opening

The Airports Authority continues its intensive preparations for the reopening of the renovated Terminal 1 at the end of the month, anticipating a significant increase in passenger traffic during the Passover holiday. As part of the preparations, the Authority has announced a large-scale recruitment of additional staff, particularly in security and operations sectors.

Returning to Work? Receive a Bonus of Up to 15,000 ILS

In a statement released by the Airports Authority, it was announced that a new agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Finance, offering a special financial bonus of up to 15,000 ILS to former security employees who choose to return to work at the airport. This significant incentive aims to encourage the return of experienced and skilled personnel in light of the expected increase in passenger traffic.

Flexible Positions Without Full-Time Commitment

The Airports Authority also stated that returning employees will not be required to work full-time, allowing for employment flexibility that suits a wide range of workers, including students, parents, and retirees interested in part-time engagement.

Strengthening Security Forces During Passover

Simultaneously, the Airports Authority has completed a series of training and refreshment sessions for dozens of veteran employees in the security division, who currently hold various management roles. These employees are expected to return to temporary operational roles to bolster the armed security forces at Ben Gurion Airport during the holiday period.

65% Increase in Passenger Traffic in April

According to the Airports Authority’s data, approximately 1.8 million passengers are expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport in April, marking a sharp increase of about 65% compared to last year’s Passover. This presents a significant logistical and security challenge, and the return of experienced staff to the Authority’s ranks may help manage the increased demand.
