United Airlines is returning to fly to Israel from March 15. As first reported by Aviation in the Media, American carrier United Airlines announced today (Tuesday) that it will resume flights on the New York/Newark – Tel Aviv route from March 15, 2025. This is a significant step after a long period in which flights were suspended due to security and operational considerations. In addition, United is expected to add a second daily flight on the route from March 29.

United is pleased to announce the resumption of flights on the New York/Newark – Tel Aviv route from March 15, with a second daily flight to be added from March 29. This resumption comes after a comprehensive assessment of operational considerations in the region and close work with our flight attendant and pilot unions. The flights will be operated on Boeing 787-10 aircraft. United has a long-standing commitment to serving Tel Aviv, and returning to this service makes United the first US airline to resume flights to Israel this year. United also offers connecting flights to Tel Aviv through its partners, including Lufthansa Group airlines. The airline will continue to evaluate options for restoring additional flights based on demand.
The announcement also noted that the airline is examining the possibility of adding more flights depending on demand.
United Airlines operates major hubs in the US, including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington. The airline is currently ranked as the largest airline in the world by available seat miles.
