Over 32,000 ETA Requests in Two Weeks
Two weeks after the introduction of the mandatory ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) requirement for entry into Israel, the Population and Immigration Authority reports the number of applications submitted so far. The United States Leads the Way
Since the ETA regulation came into effect, a total of 32,752 applications have been submitted via the official website, with 32,516 approved. The United States tops the list with 8,156 requests. Other notable countries include:
- United States: 8,156 applications
- France: 2,200 applications
- United Kingdom: 1,579 applications
- Russia: 1,103 applications
- Germany: 543 applications
Where Do Tourists Enter From?
The vast majority of tourists, 20,130, entered Israel through air border crossings. The remainder arrived via land and sea border crossings.
How to Apply for an ETA
Filling out the ETA form requires a $7 fee (approximately 25 ILS). Applications can only be submitted through the official website, available in both Hebrew and English.
