Arkia Warns: Fraud and Scalping in Rescue Flight Tickets – Public Urged to Exercise Caution

The Israeli airline Arkia issued a public clarification today (Friday) following an increase in reports of ticket scalping attempts for rescue flights. The company warns against individuals posing as authorized agents, exploiting high demand by offering tickets at exorbitant prices—sometimes double or more than the original ticket price.
According to the information available to the company, these individuals purchase tickets under customer names through Arkia’s official website and then offer these tickets at inflated prices, engaging in serious deception.
As a result, Arkia urges the public to ensure they purchase tickets only through the company’s official website or through authorized agents.
The company emphasizes that it is taking steps with all relevant parties to combat this phenomenon and invites passengers to report immediately any instance where they were asked to pay a price not matching the official rate on the website. Reports can be made via the website or through the customer service WhatsApp center.
“We are committed to operating with full transparency for the benefit of our passengers,” Arkia stated. “We will not allow unscrupulous individuals to harm passengers who are already in a sensitive and complex period.”
