Arkia Announces Rescue Flight Destinations
In response to the security situation and Israel’s efforts to bring citizens back from abroad, the airline Arkia announced today (June 16, 2025, 16:00) the initial destinations for the rescue flights it plans to operate, pending security system approval.
According to the company’s statement, Arkia is preparing to operate rescue flights from nearby and relevant destinations: Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Paris, and New York. The flights will commence immediately upon receiving the necessary security approvals, including on weekends, in accordance with the authorities’ guidelines.
At this stage, all flights scheduled to depart until Saturday, June 21, 2025, have been withdrawn from sale, aiming to optimally prepare for a large-scale operation. Only after final approval is received, will the sale for rescue flights open – exclusively on Arkia’s official website.
Passengers holding vouchers due to previous flight cancellations will be able to redeem them when booking a rescue flight.
Arkia requests the public to be patient during this complex period and emphasizes that the company is doing everything possible to bring Israeli citizens home, while ensuring the safety of passengers and air crews.

Finally, Arkia states: “We salute the IDF soldiers, the Home Front Command, the security forces, and the medical personnel who work tirelessly day and night – and remember the captives who have not yet returned home. We hope for their safe return soon.”
