El Al Expands Operations to London: For the First Time – 15 Weekly Flights to Heathrow This Winter
El Al announces a significant step in strengthening its route to London: Starting late October, the airline will operate 15 weekly flights to Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest and most sought-after airports in the world, with up to three daily flights.
This expansion is part of El Al’s strategy to reinforce its key European destinations and meet high demand from both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, the airline will continue to operate five weekly flights to Luton Airport, bringing the total to 20 weekly flights between Tel Aviv and London this winter.
Flight Experience on Wide-Body Aircraft
All flights to Heathrow will be operated using El Al’s wide-body aircraft, equipped with hundreds of seats and renowned for their comfort. The airline notes that this is an upgrade to the flight experience, alongside expanding options for passengers to find available seats even during peak seasons.
Strengthening Business and Tourism Ties
The expansion is expected to benefit Jewish and Israeli communities in the UK, as well as business travelers needing quick and convenient connections between the two countries. Furthermore, El Al’s collaboration with Virgin Atlantic will allow passengers to enjoy club agreements and connectivity to numerous onward destinations worldwide.
