Ryanair, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, plans to resume its flights to Israel very soon. In a conversation with Shimon Yaish of Israel Hayom, the airline said the date set for resuming operations is March 30.
Earlier, we reported that the airline’s CEO Eddie Wilson said in an interview with Reuters that Ryanair intends to return to full operations in the summer schedule, subject to the opening of Terminal 1. But now this is an official, more specific confirmation.
The expected return to Israel will come with a wide range of flights to popular European destinations, including Athens, Berlin, Bologna, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Baden-Baden, Krakow, Malta, Memmingen, Milan, Naples, Paphos, Poznan, Rome and more.
It’s important to note that until it actually happens, things can change – both the return date and the destinations the airline will operate from Israel.
In addition, it was reported that Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport is expected to reopen on April 1, and Ryanair is expected to operate from there.
Meanwhile, in the low-cost arena, Wizz Air has already resumed operations in Israel, Transavia began operating flights to France today (Tuesday), and easyJet plans to resume its flights to Israel only in early June.
